Book club. My pick was " Emma"and I hosted an indo

Book club. My pick was " Emma"and I hosted an indoor picnic a la box hill with some of my collection of regency china. As we discussed the thickening plot, the hand churner was turning cream into butter. On the menu : baguettes and gluten free corn bread to slather the butter on along with blood orange and carrot marmelade.Quails eggs. Also, on hand was chicken and calves liver, herb and cherry infused pate. English stilton and English cheddar [ much milder and creamier than the u.s. kind] roast Cornish hen stuffed with rice, peas and dill. White and green asparagus and of course for a box hill picnic, strawberries accompanied by the earl gray creme anglais and flourless chocolate cake. Champagne as per our ritual quaff.
Even when we finished the discussion and caught up on our daily happenings, we couldn't help but go back and discuss the book. So much relevance over 100 years after it was written

Warm wonderful 2025 seder.
All the seder plate fixings, gravlax with mustard dill sauce, asparagus mimosa, mixed green salad with lemon honey mustard dressing, lamb shank baked with rosemary, orange cinnamon and manachevitz sweet wine, Hungarian becinalt csirke, rice preserved lemon and herbs stuffed rolled breast of veal, fliurless chocolate torte and the grand finale a cake I invented, homemade marzipan covering a fliourless almond carrot cake cake filled with an invention of carrit blood orange marmalade. The most important thing on the menu is family and friends connecting with tradition, new and old.

I created a multilevel garden so a secret garden would reveal itself slowly. Salvaged art deco fence, 2 eras of woodard designed garden chairs.
